Hi Simon, +1 from the VigoJUG. We have been using it for the last six months (shared with other local communities) and it's a great way to make the community more active. I will be happy to help with the setup and organization if it's
needed. Best regards, Antón

Why do you use the tools you use?
Simon Maple <sjmaple@...>
Hey, RebelLabs are running a survey for Java developers about their tooling choices and it'd be super helpful if you could share the link with more Java developers. This year the report is mostly about the reasons why are tools & technologies picked? We’ll analyze the data and give the raw results and a shiny report back to the community. Already we’ve got some really interesting results and I predict this is going to be an exciting report! As with almost any survey, the broader the group of the respondents is, the more interesting and showing are the results. As such I’d ask if you could share the link to the survey with your user groups, (or just forward this mail to them!) filling the survey takes just a few minutes, and every response counts: https://rebellabs.typeform.com/to/IrpKbp Oh and please respond to the survey yourself too! :D Thanks in advance -- Simon

Hi, It's definitely not required to have a Java certification - I don't have any Java (or any other computing) qualifications of any sort! Thanks, Ben

It's advisable to find another java champion who knows you and can nominate you. Best regards, Op 26 jun. 2017 17:05 schreef "Cesar A. Nogueira" <cesarnogueira1210@...>:

Re: How a JUG Leader can become a Java Champion?
Hi Cesar, there is also a good discussion recorded at JCrete last year in which the details of the program are explained. The discussion was lead by Stephen Chin and many other Java Champions present in the room. You can watch it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeAJYe4QBog&index=8&list=PL2ekzZZrxVUklU35gphQAoBee6FBeSWdg Hope it helps to make things clearer. David. 2017-06-26 17:05 GMT+02:00 Cesar A. Hi Cesar. Thanks for posting this to the group. A JUG leader still needs to be peer nominated to be considered for the Java Champion program. Cheers Vincent Vincent Mayers Senior Manager, Developer Community Programs Oracle Corporation (404) 483 0040 (mobile)
